Celtic v St.Johnstone

Celtic v St.Johnstone

St.Johnstone get the evening kick-off underway however Celtic win possession and almost immediately they are on the attack.
 
GOAL
Celtic 1-0 St.Johnstone
 
Within seconds Celtic are ahead - Marcus Fraser with the goal leaving the Saints stunned.
 
Celtic are playing some excellent football with great communication between Mohammed Yaqub and Jordan Moffat - these two are standing out.

10 minutes in and Celtic are awarded a free kick, which is taken by Joe Chalmers who scores directly from the free kick. Stunning goal.

Celtic are awarded another free kick which eventually leads to their third.  Some excellent play in the build up to this - a deserved goal for Jordan Moffat.
 
St.Johnstone are by no means playing badly, we saw what they were capable of against Sunderland.  It is simply that Celtic are looking impossible to beat, they look constantly dangerous and have such blistering pace.
 
St.Johnstone have spells of good play – however Celtic are successful in regaining possession.
 
Celtic passing extremely well with great pace, again great communication between Jordan Moffat and Mohammad Yaqub. 
 
Celtic awarded a free kick following a high footed challenge –  Yaqub to take, this is followed by some more outstanding Celtic football.
 
Celtic come close again as a strike hits the cross bar and the rebound is offside.
 
As the game heads for half time the Saints up their game, some positive football coming from them, their ball finding the back of the net however is offside.
 
St.Johnstone's Callum Donnelly looking sharp.
 
Half time whistle goes and Celtic have a three goal advantage.
 
HALF TIME
Celtic 3-0 St.Johnstone
 
Second half kicks off and Celtic continue to press for a fourth.
 
The first 15 minutes of the second half and we witness the first real chance of the half, when Celtic's John Herron blasts just over the bar.
 
20 minutes in and there is some decent football coming from St.Johnstone, they continue to play well and with confidence despite trailing 3-0.
 
GOAL
Celtic 4-0 St.Johnstone
A great headed goal from Joseph O'Brian which seals the win for Celtic.
 
FULL TIME
Celtic 4-0 St.Johnstone
 
As Celtic look as if they could find a 5th, the full time whistle goes – Celtic take their deserved place in the final.
